Are you ready for surgery? Get your readiness score
Tick what you've sorted and we'll give you a readiness score plus a personalized to-do list — each item linked to the tool that fixes it. It catches the things that actually get surgeries cancelled: fasting, medicines, your ride home, and last-minute illness.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I'm ready for surgery?
Being ready is mostly about a handful of must-dos: knowing your arrival time, having your fasting and medication plan sorted, arranging a responsible adult to take you home, having your ID and paperwork ready, and having no new illness. This tool turns those into a quick score and tells you exactly what's still missing.
What can cancel my surgery on the day?
The most common avoidable cancellations are: not fasting correctly, no responsible adult to escort you home after sedation/anesthesia, taking a medicine that should have been held (or stopping one you shouldn't), and arriving with a new fever, cough or infection. The readiness score flags each of these.
Do I really need someone to take me home?
For any sedation or general or regional anesthesia, yes — you cannot legally drive and shouldn't travel alone for about 24 hours, and many units will cancel the procedure without an escort. Only minor surgery under local anesthetic alone may be an exception. Confirm with your team.
Is my information saved?
No. The readiness score is worked out entirely on your own device and nothing you tick is stored or sent anywhere. You can print or save your result as a PDF to share with family.
